A Ukrainian military spokesman says 32 tanks, 16 artillery systems, and 30 trucks carrying ammunition and soldiers crossed from Russia into the eastern Ukrainian region of Luhansk on November 6.
Captive Ukrainian military pilot Nadiya Savchenko has won a rare victory in a Russian courtroom. At her first court appearance since being returned to detention from a psychiatric clinic, investigators at the hearing in Moscow's Basmanny district court dropped their objection to a defense motion to include in court materials testimony from Ukrainians who say they witnessed Savchenko's capture.
Savchenko, who is being held in Russia on charges of complicity in the deaths of two Russian journalists covering fighting in eastern Ukraine, has claimed that she was abducted by pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine on June 18 and bound and smuggled into Russia in July.
Investigators claim she was detained in Russia.
Savchenko, who won a seat in Ukraine's parliament last month, asked investigators why they had changed their minds about the motion, but they gave no explanation.

Pro-Kyiv military blogger Dmitry Tymchuk says his National Security and Defense Council analytical center has information "supported virtually every hour" with evidence "that there are not only Russian mercenaries but RUSSIAN army full-time SWAT DRG Gru and AIRBORNE unis, and units of brigades of RUSSIAN ground forces in the Donbas."
He also says that "the [Russian] Armed Forces continue to concentrate in areas bordering Ukraine," adding that "2 trains with military equipment and personnel (up to 500 people)" arrived at the Kamensk-Shahtinsky railway station in Rostov.
